A new Hellraiser film has been announced. The film is set to be produced by Spyglass media group (Get him to the Greek, G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra, The Happening, Bruce Almighty) and written by David S. Goyer (Batman V Superman, Blade Trinity, The Dark Knight, Man of Steel). There is no set release date but I’m sure more information will be made available as the months go by….if the movie actually gets made.

This isn’t the first time that a Hellraiser reboot has been announced, so while I am happy that a new Hellraiser film is being discussed, I’m not getting my hopes up.

As someone who enjoyed the first Hellraiser film and had mixed feelings about the second one, I think that this reboot, while it may not be perfect (since David S. Goyer is writing it), will most likely be better than the the eight other movies in the Hellraiser series.
